Beautiful hotel in a fantastic town. Great service, the concierge on Saturday night was exceptional, as was the receptionist. We were made to feel very welcome. The spa is excellent and well worth spending some time at.

Wonderful. Great breakfast buffet. Huge selection plus they made me a special order ham and cheese omelet. New York Times paper provided free. Shuttle bus into town and back was free from hotel which saved us from driving and parking in busy town of Saint Remy. Concierge service was helpful. Hotel staff was very friendly and able to communicate with us in English. Gabriel brought our luggage to our room and made sure we got CNN and BBC connections on TV which required some extra programming. Fresh dozen red roses, bottle of wine, plate of fresh fruit and macaroons and candy greeted us on the table in our room when we arrived. Huge private patio with outdoor furniture and lovely view of the natural preserve and Apilles hills as well as the pretty outdoor pool were especially enjoyable during our sunny warm weather. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it all. It was expensive but well worth the treat. My husband and I are retired and doing lots of travel. This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at.

I recently stayed at le Vallon de Valrugues and found it to have a nice atmosphere. However, I was disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel, as it appeared old and not well maintained. The Spa facilities were also below …

Le Vallon is a luxury resort in St Remy (Provence, France). We stayed recently with mixed results. On the positive side, our villa was clean, spacious, and beautiful. It was perfect to lounge around the pool and soak up the southern France sun. It was expensive, but not out of step with competitors. Shuttle service connected the villa with the “main campus” resort and provided easy access to St. Remy, itself a charming town and perfect for a stay in the south. Room service was limited but still provided options for in-villa dining. Breakfasts were easily the best. The downside, however, is that, even with the shuttle, the villa is disconnected from the resort and too far to walk to town. We should have simply rented a great house in St. Remy. Disappointment over the isolation was eased because, frankly, there was hardly anything drawing us to the resort. The restaurants are average at best, the gym is an abject embarrassment, and. . . that’s it. There is really nothing else at the resort. Furnishings are tired and in desperate need of a full facelift. The concierge was extremely unimpressive – not particularly responsive and a real challenge to work with. My advice is simply to rent a house in St. Remy.

Beautiful gardens and swimming pool with bar / restaurant overlooking. Overpriced food / drink (€7 for a bottle of water and no tap water available). The comfort rooms are not 5* quality at all. Small and a little run down. Beds / pillows are very uncomfortable. Air con isn’t strong enough so the room is very warm, even overnight. The TV is tiny and you cannot access any international channels or use Netflix / connect your phone to watch what you like. The toiletries are lovely (L’Occitane Provence). The car service into town is fabulous and very handy when it’s a 15 minute walk in 30+ degree heat. The staff are friendly enough. Breakfast was a slightly above average buffet, again overpriced at €25.

Very good hotel, the service is very good. I gave 4 stars for the location just cause Saint-Rémy is a town that there's not so much to do 😐, but other than that, the hotel is very good, the swimming pool is big enough and the food is very …

Perfect place to stay when traveling the Luberon and Alpilles. Hotel, staff, food, location were all 5 stars. I wish I could give the service 10 stars. Recommendations for St. Remy restaurants and surrounding villages were all spot on. …
